We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well, safe, and healthy.
With the unexpected invasion of COVID-19, we are incredibly appreciative of our students and parents for their flexibility and resilience during these unusual circumstances. As you know, there are lots of concerns and questions related to how our school plans to reopen on August 16th, 2020.
Indeed, the governing body of NIS is meeting and evaluating all solutions to address all our obligations. We remain committed to providing quality education for our students to meet their individual needs. As we move forward, kindly be assured that we have done all that's necessary in order to have our educational plan back on track. Hence, our management team has been working diligently since March 2020, training all staff to present better online services and to implement best practices. We are extending the educational services we offer online by adding more motivational resources and materials that allow our students to return to their learning journey as normally as possible. Our teachers and staff will continue to provide learning opportunities like videos, live meetings with students, in addition to other online materials that will be sent through our portal and online platform. Moreover, we will continue to support you and your child to use our online platforms with tutorials and IT helpdesk assistance.
One cornerstone of the partnership with NIS parents and students is the continuation of learning. We implore you to complete the surveys for us to gather more information to allow your children to actively participate in all the learning opportunities provided by the school.
Moreover, the NIS team is prepared to educate our students and maintain the highest standards of safety. We are ready with the following three scenarios:
Full Distance School Model: All students participate in learning with continued standard pacing, interactive lessons, graded assignments, and assessments using online platforms.
Hybrid School Model: A combination of distance and in-person instruction conducted in a variety of configurations with increased safety and disinfecting measures, social distance (two meters), and limited the number of people in groups.
In-Person School Model: All students will participate in the traditional school setting with enhanced safety precautions such as increased hand sanitizer availability, increased frequency of cleaning high touch areas, and limited visitation to the premise.
We continue to communicate with parents and students via our portal, and encourage all to visit our website and follow our social media platforms for accurate up to date information regarding our school.
We fully understand the concerns about health and safety, distance learning, the importance of in-person instruction, and all of the other unexpected consequences of not being in a traditional school setting. Our team will continue to implement well-studied, systematic approaches for learning and safety.
Thank you for your continued support and positivity as we strive to do what is best for ALL of our students during these challenging times. We believe we all will be stronger when we come out of the COVID-19 Pandemic! Together, we will write the BEST story for our children!
We wish safety and wellbeing for all.
Sincerely,
Administration of Al Nibras International Bilingual School
